Techno legend Dave Clarke will celebrate reaching the 400th episode of his show White Noise this Saturday, the 24th of August. It will come live from RTE 2FM studio here in Dublin. It is the longest running techno radio show in the industry and is known as a great institution for techno fans across the world. It has earned the status of an industry indicator, often showcasing the direction in which the scene is headed. Currently, White Noise is syndicated to over forty radio stations worldwide. For the 400th installment Clarke will present a special 3-hour live show which will also be aired via YouTube.
Will Kinsella will present a pre-show on RTÉ Pulse between 9-10pm UK time. Clarke will be joined by special guests DefeKt and L.A.W. (the Northen Ireland Techno Duo who’ve previously chatted to WWD, check out the interview here) UK followers can tune in to 2FM on SKY & Freesat or online, and commercial-free via RTÉ Pulse using the RTÉ Radio Player. The entire show will be aired on YouTube via the 2FM page and a video version of White Noise #400 will be made available on YouTube the following weekend. The show will be recorded, with a ‘special edition’ podcast available the following Wednesday.

It’s another impressive coup for 2FM, their increased focus on live events should be very well recieved by Irish dance music fans. Only recently they announced their involvement in the Seen project which will provide live video and audio streaming for a number of upcoming events. Seen launches September 13th with John O’Callaghan and Full Tilt live from Letterkenny.
