Waze & Odyssey – Go Go Go / We Go Home [Dirt Crew]

When We Dip
Berlin, Deep House, News
23 February 2016

Waze & Odyssey make their return to the Berlin-based imprint of Dirt Crew recordings with this eclectically influenced EP. The duo have forged an identity as consistent performers, and accomplished producers with a string of successful releases on labels such as Wolf Music and Jacques Renault’s Let’s Play House. This is in addition to managing their own label, W&O Street Tracks, building an impressive back catalogue of releases from the likes of Ejeca and xxxy.

With this release Waze & Odyssey tread a delicate line between staying fresh without reinventing the wheel. ‘Go Go Go’ is exactly as you’d expect from the title. An energetic house track, it is the disco-influenced bass line that adds a layer of intrigue that reveals more and more with each listen. Much like Waze & Odyssey themselves, this track would be as comfortable at a day party as it would be in Panorama Bar. ‘We Go Home’ provides an alternative to this – a jacking house track layered with multiple synth lines. These ascending synth lines make this track an interesting tool for building energy, but on pure quality it is ‘Go Go Go’ which steals the show here.
