10 March 2017

What’s in our bag of tricks this week we hear you holler!? Yes, ohhhh yes. It’s that time of the week once again. Teaming up with our homies at the home of modern House Music Traxsource, we bring you the best of the weekend weapons, including our Wildcard Selection with cuts from the likes of Dekmantel, Let’s Play House, Dirtybird and True Romance.

WWD Wildcard Selection

5. Don Rimini – Motel Ride [Dirtybird]

Dirtybird kick off this week’s collection with a right dinger from the Don himself. ‘Motel Ride’ is a bouncin’ four four smash with a refreshing drum ensemble.

4. Hoshina Anniversary – Build Up Your House [Turbo Recordings]

Boys Noize Records regular Hoshina Anniversary debuts on Tiga’s Turbo imprint with a quirky lo-fi delight.

3. Personal FX – Objects in mirrors [Dekmantel]

A true peach from Young Marco’s Dekmantel Selectors compilation. Music for the soul. Let this one take you away on a weekend dream!

2. Earth Boys – Ambien Dream [Lets Play House]

Straight outta NYC! It’s Earth Boys rollin’ up on Myrtle Music. Shouts to the Brooklyn fam. ‘Ambien Dream’ is all what is is. Simply lush.

1. Tensnake – 1975 [True Romance Records]

True Romance founder Tensnake takes us all the way back with a soothing groover in ‘1975’. A cunky low end groove, some stellar organ work and the high strings take it all the way to no.1 in this week’s Wild Card Selection.
