Techno dons Dense & Pika return to District 8

15 February 2018

This Saturday, February 17th, Dense & Pika are set to return to District 8 alongside Hybrasil and the EVE girls for what is looking another landmark night at Dublin’s finest techno abode. Dense & Pika – aka Alex Jones, the co-owner of Hypercolour, and Chris Spero, widely known for his work as Glimpse – have consistently impressed on the touring circuit in recent years with stopoffs at the likes of Berlin’s Panorama Bar, Amsterdam’s Trouw as well as London’s Tobacco Dock. They’ve also been delivering thundering live sets at mega festivals including Awakenings and Sonus.

Dense & Pika, since kicking off in 2011, have become Drumcode favourites. After dropping killer releases one after the other, we know they’ll be putting on a show not to miss this week at District 8.

Opening for Dense & Pika, are two Irish acts that have been taking the scene by storm. Hybrasil has certainly had a successful year, with his tracks appearing on playlists of the world’s most techno elite including Carl Cox, Alan Fitzpatrick, Dave Clark and Adam Beyer. It’s no surprise that he’s been a part of massive gigs including Forbidden Fruit, Boxed Off and DJing alongside the likes of Eats Everything in Privilege, Ibiza.

EVE, the talented Dublin-based female collective, are also set to showcase their considerable talents on the night. Having massively impressed at last year’s Higher Vision’s and set to play at Life this year, the techno trio are definitely gaining the recognition they deserve.
