Turkish live artist Bora Uzer kicks off a hectic 2024 schedule with a return to Los Angeles’s iconic Sound nightclub this Friday (January 26th), before embarking on a global run across continents. The Miami-based musician has been captivating crowds around the world over the last 12 months from Madrid to Dubai, and Beirut to Sao Paulo. His live show pushes the boundaries of electronic music performance with its interactive approach and off the cuff instrumentation. Appearances at the likes of Tomorrowland Brazil, Mochakk: Calling, WooMoon and Elrow have cemented his place among a new wave of artists delivering a highly immersive and engaging music experience.
Uzer’s music career began at the age of just 17 after receiving an invitation to study jazz at the Rotterdam Conservatoire of Music. A journey across two decades and multiple continents has inspired the effervescent multi-instrumentalist and wordsmith, fuelling a drive to connect the dancefloor with a blend of thrilling electronic strands, mesmerising melodics and captivating vocal work in his uplifting, energising sound. His vibrant musical productions have been released by global tastemakers including Sol Selectas, Solomun’s Diynamic label and legendary UK imprint Renaissance.
Uzer took his OJO brand to the next level in November with the launch of its very first release; ‘I Will Find You’. OJO had already made its mark as one of the most exciting new event series in Ibiza, having completed its second season at Blue Marlin this past Summer. The Friday residency spanned 13 weeks with a host of special guests (such as Adam Ten, Nick Warren, Deer Jade, and Eelke Kleijn) joining him in the spectacular open air venue. ‘I Will Find You’ captures the OJO experience perfectly. The piano-laden cut fuses energetic drums and a surging low-end with enthralling original vocals. The track opens with uplifting strings and a dense groove, before lush hi-hats and sublime synth-work take the song to its climax.
With a whirlwind of excitement behind him, Uzer takes to the road this Spring for shows across the world, including dates in Dubai. Paris, New York, Buenos Aires and more.
