Despite early sporting success as an NBA basketball star, music has always been Rony Seikaly’s passion. Born in the heart of Beirut and fueled by the vibrancy of Miami, Rony’s journey to the dance floor is nothing short of remarkable. He’s played at iconic and world-renowned gigs like DC10 Ibiza, Stereo Montreal, and Space Miami. His name reverberates as a headline act in the electronic music circuit.

Since 2010, he has released on labels including 8Bit, Suara, Saved, Yoshitoshi Recordings and many more. With his very own Stride Records imprint topping charts on Beatport and other leading DSPs, Rony’s influence in the dance music sphere is indomitable. He continues to run his radio show ‘Sugar Free Radio’, which has been firmly established as one of the first underground radio shows on the biggest satellite radio station in the US, Sirius/XM.

Rony’s goal for upcoming gigs is to captivate broader audiences with his distinct style of music while continuing to follow a quality-over-quantity approach when it comes to his performances.

Music isn’t just a facet of Rony’s life; it’s the very essence of it. He’s built a sanctuary within his home, a personal club, showcasing his deep-rooted love for the craft. Rony’s commitment to making and playing dance music is unwavering. His fearless and authentic approach to production transcends genre limitations, fusing influences from various styles with a strong emphasis on feeling and instinctive emotion above rigid categorization.

Here’s an artist who has found his niche. In a world of fleeting trends, Rony stands out, offering an authentic and distinctive sound that he dubs “an acquired taste.” It might not resonate with everyone, but for those it does, it’s a transformative experience.

Fresh off the first of a 7 date residency at the iconic Circoloco in Ibiza, we warmly welcome the suave Rony Seikaly to episode 150 of the Main Mix. He seamlessly encapsulates summer’s bliss, showcasing his effortlessly cool craftsmanship and shimmering selection. Enjoy!
