MRAK, the boundary-pushing solo project of Afterlife co-founder Carmine Conte (one half of Tale Of Us), returns with a bold new release that reaffirms his singular vision within the world of melodic techno. Out now via Afterlife, the three-track EP, ‘Smoke / Nobody / All Of The Lights,’ showcases MRAK’s masterful command of emotion, rhythm, and sonic storytelling.

Long-awaited by fans after months of circulating as IDs in his mesmerizing live sets, ‘Smoke’ arrives with brooding atmospheres, slow-burning trance chords, and a cinematic build that engulfs listeners in a wave of immersive textures. Laced with luminous synths and ghostly vocal flourishes, the track is a testament to MRAK’s ability to craft deep, expansive journeys that speak to both the dancefloor and the spirit.

Next up, ‘Nobody’ takes a more introspective approach. Anchored by haunting vocal loops and a hypnotic groove, the track radiates late-night vulnerability. It’s sparse, soulful, and deeply meditative—inviting the listener into a space where techno meets intimacy.

Closing the EP is ‘All Of The Lights,’ a sweeping finale that blends raw energy with emotional gravitas. Its bold low-end, sharp percussive layers, and atmospheric build create an epic, almost operatic sense of release—cementing it as a peak-time favorite for DJs and fans alike.

More than just a producer alias, MRAK is Conte’s ongoing exploration of conceptual sound, where every note is carefully placed to evoke emotion and transcendence. With this EP, he continues to challenge the genre’s boundaries and elevate the Afterlife ethos to new heights.
