New York’s Wild Dark and Dutch producer Ariaano join forces once again, this time turning their attention to Kokoro’s ‘Limits’ for a remix that lands with serious dancefloor intent. Out on Brooklyn indie dance institution Beats On Time, the pair deliver a peak time roller that reshapes the original into something hypnotic, driving and built for the deepest hours of the night.
The ‘Limits’ remixes arrive as an expansion of Kokoro’s original EP, first released in 2025, and continue Beats On Time’s ongoing run of forward thinking indie dance. Alongside the Wild Dark and Ariaano version, the package also features an energetic, high energy remix from label veteran Nino Tores. The Wild Dark and Ariaano take is the one made for late night sets, trading the original’s warmth for a tougher, more propulsive groove that never loses its melodic core.
Kokoro is the musical alter ego of Mauricio Gutierrez, a DJ and producer from Guadalajara, Mexico who moves fluidly between indie dance, house, disco and afro house. His emotive, club ready sound has become a natural fit for Beats On Time, and ‘Limits’ shows exactly why his music translates so well into the hands of remixers.
Wild Dark is Corey Negrin, the NYC based DJ and producer who has spent over two decades turning electronic music into a narrative experience. Once known as the Negrin brothers and now operating solo, he has built a reputation for blending a vast array of sounds into something fresh and memorable, with releases on labels such as Anjunadeep, Akbal and The Gardens of Babylon. He frequently teams up with Ariaan Olieroock under the Ariaano and 16BL monikers, and this marks their third outing on Beats On Time, a partnership that sharpens with every release.
