Temple Tears returns to his own imprint GURU with ‘Let’s Talk About Me’, a track that distills everything that makes his sound so recognisable. A vintage organ riff grabs attention from the very first bar, quickly met by a pitch-shifting bassline that injects movement and attitude into the groove. Striking a balance between classic Power House energy and the grittier edge of Electro-Tech, the original is a perfect reflection of the Temple Tears aesthetic. As the founder of GURU and an internationally touring artist with more than a decade behind him, Temple Tears has built a reputation for dark, bouncing grooves that feel just as at home on a festival system as they do in the small hours of a club.

To round out the release, newcomer BAUD steps up to GURU to take on remix duties. The French DJ and producer is based in Paris but hails from Toulouse, and just like his music he is creative, full of life, and bursting with energy. His journey began at the age of fifteen with a guitar in hand, a passion that eventually gave way to electronic music and his first pair of turntables. Raised on a household soundtrack of disco and techno, BAUD channels those influences into the groovy, indie dance leaning productions he is known for. Beyond the studio he has shared closing slots for names such as Colyn and Moonwalk at a renowned Paris club, and during the pandemic he launched The Quarantine Festival, a DJ set streaming platform. His take on ‘Let’s Talk About Me’ reshapes the original with his own signature bounce while keeping its playful, driving spirit fully intact.

Tying it all together is GURU, the Paris based label helmed by Temple Tears. Built around a groovy hybrid of indie dance and deep tech, all jackin rhythm and hypnotic energy, GURU continues to be a platform for both established names and rising talent like BAUD. This release is a fine example of that ethos, pairing a hometown original with a fresh remix that pushes the record somewhere new.

You can now listen to the full premiere of ‘Let’s Talk About Me (BAUD Remix)’ exclusively on When We Dip. Enjoy!
