Desert Hearts Selection with Marbs [Exclusive Festival Playlist]

17 March 2016

Just two weeks to go until the Desert Hearts crew throw down for their highly anticipated 2016 Spring Festival (April 1-4) – an affair, which will see an impressive assortment of spinners turning up including the likes of Butch, Dance Spirit, Atish, DJ Harvey, Extrawelt, Patrice Baumel and Joyce Muniz. With the buzz in full flow, we’re joined this week by DH stalwart Marbs, who has provided an exclusive pre-festival playlist to whet the appetite. Impeccable tunes from the likes of Crosstown Rebels, Deeperfect and their very own Desert Heart Records.

Speaking to When We Dip, Marbs elaborated on the selection and just exactly what Desert Hearts is all about – “Music should make you feel something. It should move you. It’s a universal language and one of the few things that connects people even if they can’t speak with each other. Desert Hearts is a place that spreads this belief, love, and connection through music. It’s the foundation of everything we believe in. People who understand this connection are like magnets and attract others who understand it. We believe strongly in this. Life is a mirror and you receive what you put into it. Along with great music, comes great art, and great minds. This is what you experience at a Desert Hearts event.”
