The positive connections continue as Catz ‘N Dogz update their Music Manifesto with the latest single from their well-received fourth album ‘Friendship’. Originally penned by aforementioned rising Raleigh artist ZenSoFly and her producer-in-crime Maxville, then developed with Catz ‘N Dogz, Zen’s lyrics will resonate deeply with every genuine creative bone in all of our body while the Pets Recordings bossmen whip up a jittering, bumpy, horn-poked groove that nods at the old Classic Music sound. The message is clear: make your own wave, be true to what you want to do and don’t put other people’s waves down. Life is too short to feel any other way.

Life’s too short not to pay attention to these two extraordinary remixes, too. Each one rides its own totally unique wave; long-time compadre Justin Martin touches the crest with his light-footed jack, bubbling bass groove and sudden spasms of glitchy funk while Optimo-fresh Theus Mago continues his remarkable vein of form with an intergalactic sleazy sci-fi funk perspective. The original also comes with an inspiring feel-good video featuring Catz ‘N Dogz friends. More words of wisdom, this time for the Pets maestros themselves.

“Negative people often influence what we think about ourselves. It’s important to be happy with who you are and find happy moments even in the smallest things. That’s why we’ve decided to make a video to that track and ask our friends to spread good energy through dancing. Dance helps to reduce stress, anxiety and depression, dancing with others also helps to feel more connected and social. It’s not about being professional or the best at everything you do. It’s about finding the joy.”

More friends, more positive connections, more waves, more joy. The more the merrier. Long may these connections continue… You can listen to the full premiere of Justin Martin‘s remix exclusively on When We Dip. Enjoy !
