Dee Montero unveils the final single from his forthcoming album with the blissful ‘Farlight’ while inviting Madraas to remix ‘Opia’.
As his creative vision for Futurescope continues to take shape, coupling entrancing productions with striking artwork, it’s safe to say Dee Montero has entered a purple patch. With recent releases ‘Maya’ and ‘Satori’, Montero has not only flexed his diverse range as a producer with productions spanning late-night hypnotic house to resonant Italo-tinged productions, but has quickly built a wealth of support from legendary names such as Laurent Garnier and Dixon to Sasha and Digweed. As we approach the arrival of his forthcoming album, ‘Artifacts’ this summer, May brings with it the final single from the project as he unveils a blissful vocal-led production with ‘Farlight’, while also welcoming Madraas (All Day I Dream/Kindisch) to remix the previously released ‘Opia’ to round out the package.
A powerful yet soothing production fusing captivating vocals with delicate pads and swooping synths, ‘Farlight’ brings a splash of light suited to both sunsets and sunrises, while the ‘Ambient Mix’ pairs the track back as rich cinematic strings guide to showcase an impactful slice of electronica.
As an additional bonus, Madraas complete the package in classy fashion as they turn in a silky and euphoric remix of Montero’s ‘Opia’ – with the original featuring as a favourite of Italian pairings since its release in 2021.
