Rave The Planet returns with the 030th edition of its Supporter Series, and this time the spotlight falls on American producer Shay De Castro, an artist who has spent the past few years building a reputation for techno made entirely on her own terms.

A self-made talent from Boise, Idaho, Shay De Castro emerged far from the established techno capitals, drawing on the euphoria of trance and the raw power of peak-time techno to shape a sound that is equal parts ferocious and emotive. With releases on respected labels such as Factory 93, Kraftek and mau5trap, and support from names like Amelie Lens, Adam Beyer and ANNA, she has steadily become one of the most exciting techno voices to rise out of the United States.

Her contribution to the series, ‘RFO’, makes that independence unmistakably clear. Precise, self-assured and built for the floor, the track is uncompromising in the best possible sense, driving forward with a confidence that mirrors everything its title implies. This is techno stripped back to its purest intent: relentless, direct and designed to move a room.

The release also carries a deeper purpose. Rave The Planet, the Berlin-based non-profit founded by Loveparade originator Dr. Motte, uses its Supporter Series to foster, preserve and showcase techno culture through cultural projects. Every purchase directly supports the Rave The Planet Parade, a demonstration that champions the diversity of electronic music culture, with all profits going toward the next parade and the initiatives that keep the global rave community thriving.
