Montreal producer and DJ Alex Generis opens a bold new chapter with ‘Hell Is What You Make It’, the inaugural release on Montreal’s freshly minted imprint Love Is Loud.

From the first bar, the track sets a clear tone: a strong, punchy and multi-dimensional bassline anchors the groove while carefully layered sound design pulls the listener deeper into the atmosphere. It never quite resolves, and that is precisely the point. Alex Generis builds tension with intent, letting discomfort and beauty coexist until release feels earned rather than given.

‘Hell Is What You Make It’ distills the artist’s wider philosophy. His productions, already shared in 2025 on Amsterdam’s Sommersville alongside Jares and on Montreal’s Saisons, feel at once demanding and real, echoing the texture of the world outside the club. It is dance music that asks something of you, and in return offers a kind of solace, a space to think and feel.

As a first statement from Love Is Loud, the release signals exactly what the label intends to champion: dance music from and for the heart, challenging and deconstructed at times, yet where warmth and honesty can always be found. A promising start from an artist and a label that are clearly on the same wavelength.

Release Date: April 24th, 2026.
