There is a particular kind of warmth that only the best organic house can capture, and ‘Morning’ by Moroccan artist DRAV holds it from the very first bar. Originally from Tangier and now based in France, DRAV built this track on a light, pulsating rhythm, layering subtle guitar lines, airy arpeggios, catchy marimba and warm synth chords into something that feels like sunlight slowly spreading across a room. It is music made for holidays, beaches and road trips, yet it carries enough groove to translate effortlessly to the club.

DRAV’s journey gives the track its depth. He discovered electronic music through trance and progressive house in the late 2000s, taught himself production in 2013, and returned in 2024 with a renewed direction shaped by the organic and melodic worlds of artists like Sebastien Leger, Roy Rosenfeld, Tim Green and PROFF. That sense of immersive storytelling runs right through the original version of ‘Morning’, where vocal elements add emotional depth and the interplay of arps, marimba and synth chords builds a layered, balanced sound.

For this premiere, the spotlight falls on the Greg Ochman remix, and it takes the record somewhere new. The Polish producer, an international DJ, charting producer and in-demand remixer, strips the arrangement back and leans into rhythm and groove. His version is more minimal and hypnotic, using vocals selectively and pushing the track firmly toward the dancefloor. It is designed to keep people moving while preserving the uplifting, summery essence of the original, the kind of tool that builds energy and holds the flow of a DJ set.

The release lands on Sketches, the boutique label curated by Greg Ochman as a home for warm textures, hypnotic grooves and timeless storytelling. With both the original and this remix sitting side by side on the ‘Morning’ EP, it is a release that captures everything Sketches stands for: organic, emotive and made for connection.

You can now listen to the full premiere of ‘Morning (Greg Ochman Remix)’ exclusively on When We Dip. Enjoy!
